CASA KLIMT - renovated two-room apartment for 4 in the historic centre (Cernusco sul Naviglio)

Just a few minutes' walk from the metro, right in the centre of town, is Casa Klimt, a renovated two-room apartment in an old house, quiet and inspired by the colours and landscapes of the famous painter. There is no lack of natural light in the functional accommodation, perfect for four guests: there is space for everyone in the living room, the eat-in kitchen and the bedroom with desk. The enviable location invites to relaxing walks in the nearby gardens or in the centre of the typical Lombard village.

THE SPACE:
Casa Klimt is part of the Case Ospitali network, a network of flats managed by hospitality professionals.
The flat is in a typical Lombard ‘casa di corte’, i.e. a type of dwelling, one or two storeys high, built around a farmyard or courtyard and forming, as an aggregation of several houses, the central nucleus of the village.
Casa Klimt is the ideal comfortable base for those seeking an authentic stay away from the metropolis but, at the same time, Milan is conveniently accessible by metro in 30 minutes.
Recently renovated, the two-room apartment on the ground floor has all the comforts of home, in the typical architectural style of provincial houses in northern Italy.
As soon as you enter you find the living room with the relaxation area with sofa, smart TV and dining area.
The sofa opens out to become the second double bed in the house.
In the master bedroom you will find a cosy bed, a large wardrobe and a desk to find peace and quiet for computer work.
The kitchen is eat-in, with all appliances: espresso machine, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer.
Here one can eat comfortably for two. The green tiles on the wall are again reminiscent of Klimt and his passion for mosaics.
The bathroom, with all its sanitary ware, echoes the bright colours used by Klimt at the height of his artistic expression: yellow and orange for an energetic awakening in the shower!
Here is the laundry area, with a washing machine and wall-mounted drying rack.
The paintings on the walls remind us of the lush nature of the parks along the Naviglio della Martesana, a unique attraction for those who enjoy walking or cycling.
From Casa Klimt you can walk all over Cernusco and visit villas, churches and palaces with gardens.
The location allows ample freedom to reach the centre and shops within minutes.
Case Ospitali welcomes guests with a welcome kit with coffee, tea and sugar, soaps and detergents for the first day in the house.
The spaces in Casa Klimt have been optimised for a pleasant stay, without giving anything up; in fact, there is even a wardrobe wardrobe for those staying for a longer period.
Air conditioning completes the offer.
PLEASE NOTE: Guests are advised that air conditioning is only available from 1 June to 30 September.

GUEST ACCESS:
Guests will have access to the entire two-room apartment, which is located on the ground floor.
It is possible to reserve a garage for cars 100 metres from the flat at an extra charge of Euro 8.00 per day.
Otherwise free public parking is available 400 metres from the flat.

OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE:
- BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL:
It is compulsory to complete the ONLINE REGISTRATION (online check-in).
Upon confirmation of your booking you will receive an email with a link to do this by entering the details of all guests.
For the main guest, a photo of the document and a selfie with the document visible is required.
Signature of the TOURIST LETTING CONTRACT and payment of the STAY TAX, if applicable, will be required.
Online check-in must be done at least 3 days prior to arrival, except for last minute bookings.
The personal data of our kind guests will be transmitted to the Police Headquarters as provided for by the LR n°27 of 1/10/2015 of the Lombardy Region and processed exclusively for the purposes inherent to the service and in compliance with privacy regulations.
- ACCESS TO THE FACILITY:
This facility is equipped with self check-in, i.e. entry in complete autonomy. Instructions will be sent two days before arrival.
Please note that check-in times are from 3PM to 11PM with remote assistance until 9PM.
- CHECK-OUT:
Check-out is compulsorily before 10AM.
- CLEANING:
A cleaning service or change of linen during the stay is not included. For all bookings longer than 15 days, an additional intermediate cleaning fee must be paid directly to Case Ospitali.
- NON-SMOKING FACILITY:
Smoking is prohibited inside the facility, both in the common areas and in the room. In case of violation a fine will be charged.
- WELCOME KIT:
We offer our guests a welcome kit with detergent tabs, soap, shower gel and shampoo for your first day's stay.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DISTRICT:
Cernusco is also known for the elegance of its historic buildings and villas. In addition to the aforementioned Villa Biancani Greppi, seat of the Town Hall and a place where the most important passages of Cernusco's long history can be rediscovered, Villa Alari Visconti, commissioned from the architect Giovanni Ruggeri by Giacinto Alari in the 18th century, deserves special note. A splendid villa di delizia in Rococo style, with an English-style system of avenues and gardens, it soon became famous in the Milanese area, so much so that it was rented by Archduke Ferdinand of Habsburg, son of Empress Maria Theresa. It was his summer residence, in the company of his consort Maria Beatrice d'Este. The last family to own it was the Visconti Saliceto family, while it has been municipal property since 2007. Also not to be forgotten is Villa Uboldo - home of the hospital - which with its lush English garden, now a public park, evokes a romantic atmosphere.
Martesana canal cycle path (accessible to all types of bicycle)
The Martesana cycle path is one of the routes that allow you to follow the history of the Lombardy canals, combining sport and tourism; it runs alongside the course of the Milanese Naviglio Piccolo, a navigable canal that connects Milan with the river Adda, and thus with Lake Como.
It was built starting in 1475 at the behest of Francesco Sforza and completed in 1496: with his innovations in hydraulic engineering, Leonardo da Vinci also contributed to the design of the 'new' Naviglio.
The canal now has an irrigation function but, for centuries, its waters were ploughed by barges that transported men, animals and goods of all kinds between Lecco and Milan in a day: absolutely unthinkable times for transport by land.
As it is a cycle-pedestrian path, on weekends it is much frequented not only by cyclists, but also by families with children strolling along it.
The Martesana cycle path starts at Cassina de' Pomm on the corner of Via Melchiorre Gioia in Milan and extends for 30 km through the municipalities of Cologno Monzese, Vimodrone, Cernusco sul Naviglio, Cassina dei Pecchi, Bussero, Gorgonzola, Gessate, Inzago and Cassano d'Adda.
The Martesana cycle path runs along the right side of the canal, passing through towns and parks and equipped with benches and tables in the cool of the trees. You can then enjoy a picnic in the park and stock up on food and water. There are also a variety of trattorias and DeCA-branded restaurants in Gorgonzola or Cassano d'Adda.
Many patrician residences, 'villas of delight' where noble families spent their holidays in search of a bit of fresh air away from the sultry Milanese summers, have sprung up on the left bank since the 1600s.
